Descrizione
The Fazley Outlaw Series Sheriff Basic SSS electric guitar comes armed with three pickups and a solid alder body coated in a hand-stained finish to ensure that every example bears its own unique character. The three-pack of passive single-coil pickups combines with a five-way selector switch, a pair of tone pots, and a volume control to unleash wide-ranging and classic amplified sound, making this model an outstanding pick for beginner guitarists. And, as a sweet bonus, this guitar even comes with a gig bag.
The Fazley Outlaw Series Sheriff Basic: Refined Playability
Fazley have outfitted the Sheriff with a maple neck with a comfy C-profile and coupled it with a 14-inch fretboard radius and a set of twenty-two medium-jumbo frets to ensure a light and controlled feel along the entire length of the fretboard. The back of the neck has been coated in satin-gloss to support fast guitar work, while the Graph Tech TUSQ nut has been teamed up with a modern two-point tremolo bridge to firm up both tuning and intonation.

Ik heb de B-stock-versie gekocht. De gitaar zat goed ingepakt in bubbelplastic. Helaas zonder gigbag en vibratopook. Maar daar komen we wel uit met Bax.
Over de gitaar zelf: mooie specs voor de prijs. Dat zorgde toch wel wat voor wat argwaan. Maar ik had nog wat cadeaubons te spenderen voordat ze gingen vervallen. Iets om aan te knutselen leek wel leuk voor erbij.
Er valt niet veel aan te merken op de afwerking: geen scherpe randjes aan de fretuiteinden, geen fouten in de lak. Kwam behoorlijk goed afgesteld uit de doos. Is stemvast (toch zonder gebruik van de vibrato).
Stemknoppen zijn wel wat stroef, maar niets wat een beetje draaien niet kan verhelpen. De hals ligt lekker in de hand, maar da's een smaakkwestie, en speelt vlot.
De klank is zoals die je van een strat zou verwachten. Het karakter is wat moderner en wat minder Hank B. Marvin- of Rory Gallagher-vintage (om 2 relatief uitersten te noemen). De pickups zijn iets te hot naar mijn zin en missen wat body. Voor niet al te veel geld kan je hiervan echter iets maken dat jaren zal meegaan. Denk ik.
Als elk exemplaar zo goed als het mijne, is dit zeker en vast een aanrader. Voor het geld is het een topding. Mocht het honderd euro meer gekost hebben, was het dat ook.
